Fall is not all about leaf peeping. There are many other activities that will swoon you this Fall. Check out these festivals in this colorful season of Fall.

1. National Apple Harvest Festival

The doctors will surely be away for the seasons as the country will be flooded with apples! Pennsylvania holds the National Apple Harvest Festival during the first two full weekends in October.

The festival is located in the heart of Pennsylvania Apple country, just a few miles from historic Gettysburg and is within a two hour drive from Washington D.C., Baltimore Md. and Harrisburg. Admission to this festival will give you an orchard tour, access to a petting zoo, craftsman demonstrations, Apple Auditorium and chance to meet the Pennsylvania Apple Queen. Antique cars and steam engines will also be on display.

Rain or shine, the National Apple Harvest Festival will be held outdoors at the South Mountain Fairgrounds this October 6-7 and 13-14, 2018.

2. Harvest on the Harbor

The Harvest on the Harbor Festival invites food lovers from all over the US for an unforgettable experience of Portland's unique cuisine. From food to booze, Portland has become a main destination in October.

Apart from being a food festival, the Harvest on the Harbor Festival helps in promoting local produce and hospitality industry. This has been their advocacy since the festival started in 2007, when hotels and restaurants needed a boost during the slower time of the year. Portland was awarded as the Foodiest Small Town in America and Restaurant City of the Year by prestigious institutions in the previous years.

This year, the Harvest on the Harbor is back with a five-day event showcasing global cuisine with a touch of Portland's culinary culture.

The Wellfleet OysterFest is an annual celebration of the town’s famous oysters, clams and its deep-rooted shellfishing traditions. Set at the Wellfleet’s town center, this two-day family festival gathers locals and visitors to a weekend full of learning, arts and crafts, music and of course, OYSTERS!

All proceeds of the Wellfleet Oysterfest go to the organization’s educational mission which includes a local college scholarship program, community grant awards and initiatives to support Wellfleet’s shellfishing and aquaculture industries.

This year, the Wellfleet Oysterfest will be held on October 13-14, 2018 at Main Street in Wellfleet, located on Cape Cod. Tickets and event guides are available on their website.
