MATTHEW LIBATIQUE for lensing Bradley Cooper's directorial debut film, "A Star Is Born" starring Cooper and Lady Gaga for Warner Brothers Studios. This is his second Academy Awards nomination since 2010's "Black Swan."

Nominated for an Oscar for Best Costume Design --
Ruth E. Carter for "Black Panther." ANTHONY FRANCISCO is the Visual Designer who worked on the 'Dora Milaje' costumes for the film. RODNEY FUENTEBELLA is the Senior Concept Illustrator who worked on the the concept art for Killmonger, King T’Chaka and Ulysses Klaue for the film as well. Both inspired and referred to Filipino tribal patterns.
HONORABLE MENTION: "Black Panther" is the first superhero movie to be nominated for Best Picture for an Academy Award.
Nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film --
Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" with the voice of 'Gwen Stacy' by HAILEE STEINFELD (an Oscar nominee herself for her breakthrough role of 'Mattie Ross' in 2010's "True Grit") and with animators LOUIE DEL CARMEN, JOHN BUTIU and RYAN RUBI.
And, Walt Disney Studios' "Ralph Breaks The Internet," a story by JOSIE TRINIDAD and with the voice of 'Mo's Mom' by NICOLE SCHERZINGER.
Nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film --
"Weekends" by TREVOR JIMENEZ, a Storyboard Artist from Pixar. He previously worked as a Story Artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios and its projects such as "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," "Rio," "The Lorax," "Finding Dory," "Coco" and the aforementioned Oscar nominee, "Ralph Breaks the Internet." He worked for Blue Sky Studios and was a Creative Consultant on the animated television series, "We Bare Bears" for the Cartoon Network.
And, "One Small Step" by BOBBY PONTILLAS, an Art Director for TAIKO Studios. He was a character designer and animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios. His list of projects include animated films such as "Wreck-It Ralph," "Rio" and "Frozen." He also worked for Blue Sky Studios.
The 91st Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), will honor the Best Cinematic Films of 2018 when it takes place live at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California this Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 5pm Pacific Time on ABC.
